Terms of Use

The agreement between you and the developer of CycleNote. In short: the app is personal, the purchase is one-time, and it makes no medical decisions.

In effect from 14 August 2026

01The agreement

By installing or using the CycleNote app (the “App”) you accept these terms. If they don't work for you, don't use the App and delete it.

The agreement is between you and the developer trading on the App Store as bobredobre (“we”). Apple is not a party to it — see section 8.

02Licence

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes on Apple devices that you own or control, in line with the App Store rules.

You may not:

  • copy, sell, rent out or distribute the App;
  • decompile, disassemble or otherwise reverse-engineer it, except where the law expressly allows it;
  • circumvent technical restrictions, including those covering the trial period and the purchase;
  • use the App unlawfully or to harm other people.

The App and its content remain ours; the licence transfers no rights in them.

03Trial period and purchase

The App is fully free for the first 45 days after first launch. The count starts from the date of first launch on the device and does not reset when the app is reinstalled.

Once the trial ends without a purchase, adding and editing entries and notifications are limited. Viewing the calendar, history and stats, creating and restoring a backup, changing settings and erasing data all remain free.

The full version is a one-time in-app purchase (non-consumable). It is not a subscription: you are charged once and nothing renews. The purchase is tied to your Apple ID and can be restored on other devices with “Restore purchases”.

The App Store shows the final amount, which depends on your country and taxes, before you confirm.

04Payment and refunds

Payments are taken and processed by Apple. We receive no payment details and cannot issue refunds ourselves.

Refund requests go to Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com. The decision is Apple's, under its own rules.

If a purchase went through but access didn't unlock, write to us and we'll help sort it out before you go to Apple.

05The App is not a medical device

CycleNote is a diary and a calendar. It does not diagnose, does not prescribe treatment, and is not a medical device, a contraceptive method or a fertility planning tool.

The forecast is statistical, based on the cycle history you enter, and it can be wrong — especially with an irregular cycle, hormonal medication, breastfeeding, perimenopause or a medical condition.

Do not use the fertile window or ovulation forecast as a method of contraception. See a doctor about pain, unusual discharge, a long delay, or any symptom that worries you.

Make decisions about your health with a clinician, not from an app screen.

06Your data and your responsibility for it

All entries are stored on your device. That means only you can reach them, and that keeping them safe is up to you.

We hold no copy of your data, so we cannot restore it after a lost or broken device, a deleted app, or an “Erase all data” command.

Save a backup regularly and keep it somewhere safe. The support page explains how.

Details of data handling are in the privacy policy.

07Warranty and liability

The App is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we do not warrant uninterrupted operation, freedom from errors, or the accuracy of the forecast.

Our liability for any loss connected with the App is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Nothing in this section limits the consumer rights granted to you by mandatory law in your country.

08Apple-related terms

This agreement is concluded between you and the developer, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.

Apple has no obligation to provide support for the App. All requests go to m@bobredobre.dev.

If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.

Third-party claims of intellectual property infringement, product liability and consumer protection compliance are our responsibility, not Apple's.

Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and have the right to enforce it.

09Changes to the terms

These terms may be updated as the App develops. The current version always lives on this page, with the effective date at the top.

Continuing to use the App after an update means you accept the new version.

10Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the law of the country in which the developer is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory rules of the law of your country of residence.
